Pick Your Paint: With the abundance of color choices available these days, it can be hard to choose a paint. Most manufacturers offer good, better and best paints, but it can sometimes be hard to tell the difference. In order to avoid spending unnecessary money follow this simple plan. First, gauge the amount of paint you’ll need by measuring the area you wish to paint. Next, set a budget for yourself. Now, when you go to the store, you will have already narrowed the selection of paint that you have to choose from. This makes the final decision that much easier.
Prep Work
Prepping your surface might seem boring and unnecessary, but it can actually save you loads of time and money in the long run. Be sure to thoroughly clean the exterior of your home first. Then check for any loose nails or holes, fill the holes with putty and pound in the nails. Next, sand away any loose or flaking paint. Finally, prime any bare wooden areas before doing exterior painting.

People like to ask us, “Should I use a roller or a brush?” The answer? Both! Both of these tools are very valuable for any painting job. Use the roller to fill in the large open areas, and the brush to delicately paint the smaller areas.
